The Road Not Taken... is a collection of unrelated fanfictions, bound together by one common point: to rewrite the events of a specific moment in Star Trek history, providing a different ending to already known stories.A battle with a different outcome, a love story that comes to life, the unexpected meeting between characters who have never crossed paths are just examples of what might have happened if certain occasions... had not remained on the floor of the franchise's writers' room written on crumpled papers.

The anthology will mainly span the series of The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager, with the presence of possible crossovers.

For convenience, as for What If: A Star Trek Series, it will be constantly updated as new stories are published on the website. There will be a subdivision according to the various series, to allow greater and easier navigability for users.

STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION

All Good Things… (stardate 47999.0) - For years, Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise has hoped to be something more for Beverly Crusher, widow of Jack Crusher, one of his greatest friends; his Chief Medical Officer aboard the Enterprise; his close friend. But despite what happened on the planet Kespritt III, she preferred to remain on a platonic level and not find out in depth about each other's feelings, fearing that they might ruin their friendship. A few months later, when Q again tests Captain Picard and his crew in what appears to be a further test of the 'maturity' achieved by the human race, the woman finally agrees to give their relationship a chance.
